Foreign Dignitaries Pay Tribute to Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution

IQNA – A ceremony for foreign delegations to pay tribute to the sacred body of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and other martyrs has been taking place in Tehran since early hours of this morning, July 3.

Foreign Dignitaries Pay Tribute to Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution

High-ranking officials, political figures, intellectuals and elites from various countries have arrived in the Iranian capital to attend the ceremony to pay tribute and bid farewell to the body of the martyred Leader at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).

In this ceremony, in addition to the performance of the army’s martial musicians, Iran’s internationally acclaimed qaris, including Masoud Sayyah Gorji, Hamidreza Ahmadivafa and Mehdi Adeli recited verses from the Holy Quran.

At the beginning of the ceremony, some scholars and religious figures from Indonesia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq, Morocco, Turkey and Spain paid their respects to the holy body of the martyred Leader.

Subsequently, representatives of our country’s religious minorities also paid their respects to the martyred leader of the revolution and his family at the Mosalla.

A delegation of figures from the Iraqi Kata’ib Hezbollah and a group of senior figures from the Resistance Front were the next to pay their respects to the body of the martyred Leader.

Other groups and figures present at the ceremony include a delegation of mujahideen and figures from the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), the Iraqi Nujaba movement, the governors of Karbala and Najaf, and a group of other Iraqi figures.

Subsequently, a group of elites, personalities and scholars of the Resistance Front, a delegation from the Lebanese Amal Movement and a delegation of Shias from the Persian Gulf countries joined the ceremony.

After that, the high delegation of the Afghan resistance, along with Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, also renewed their pledge by attending the farewell ceremony.

Religious leaders and scholars from other countries, Shia scholars from Pakistan, and the Fatemiyoun delegation from Afghanistan, a delegation from the Supreme Muslim Board of Georgia, members of parliament and the Bulgarian Revival Party, a group of members of political and religious parties and figures from Turkey, a delegation of Russian Muslim scholars, a number of leaders of the Hindu community, a group of Shias from Thailand and Germany, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, along with a group of media figures, writers and analysts from Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan, also attended the event for the last farewell.

Then, a delegation from Hezbollah in Lebanon, the family of martyr Syed Hassan Nasrallah, the family of martyr Imad Mughniyeh and the families of several other martyred Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon paid their respects to the martyred Leader’s holy body.

Among the foreign guests, delegations from Malaysia, Lebanon, Russia, Senegal, the United States, Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, China, Pakistan, Tunisia, India, Afghanistan, Norway, Argentina and a number of other Latin American countries are present.

Also, a group of prominent thinkers of the Islamic world and activists in the field of proximity of Islamic religions from Iraq, Malaysia, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Tunisia, Senegal and India have attended this ceremony.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, the ceremony will be attended by guests from around 100 countries, including heads of state, parliament speakers, foreign ministers, special representatives of governments, political, religious, cultural figures, and popular groups.

It is also planned that starting at 2:00 PM today, a group of high-ranking officials from countries and political figures will participate in the ceremony to pay respect and farewell to the body of the martyred Leader.

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was martyred in a US-Israeli strike on his office in Tehran on February 28, 2026, at the outset of a 40-day war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The conflict witnessed steadfast national resistance and large-scale retaliatory operations by the Iranian Armed Forces, which forced the aggressors to halt their military campaign.
