Hojat-ol-Islam Mostafa Noruzi, director of the province’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Department, said the Quranic programs will go on until the 8th day of the holy month of Ramadan.
He said different mosques and religious sites in the province have been hosting the recitation sessions since the beginning of the holy month.
In addition to al-Baz, a number of other Egyptian Qaris have been invited to Iran to attend recitation sessions across the country during the holy month.
They include Ahmed Shahat, Adel al-Baz, Faruq Ahmed Zayf, Mahmoud Abdul Basit, Reza Guma Mnasour, and Mahmoud Shahat Anwar.
Every year, various Quranic programs are organized all over Iran during Ramadan, the month of Quran.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Hijri calendar. This year, it began on Thursday, June 18.
During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.
They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
