Addressing a ceremony to mark the Martyr’s Day in Beirut, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah underscored that the martyrdom-seeking Jihadi spirit has always been the resistance movement’s main weapon against the Zionist regime and the US support for Tel Aviv, Al-Manar news network reported.
He said the enemies have been plotting to deal a blow to this spirit, adding that these plots must be confronted.
Nasrallah praised martyrs for their self-sacrifices, saying the resistance movement’s victories were accomplished thanks to the blood of martyrs.
He also lauded the martyrs’ families for their bravery and fortitude.
With such martyrs and such families, “we are not afraid of any threats or challenges,” he went on to say.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasrallah referred to Ahmad Qasir, whose martyrdom anniversary marks the Martyr’s Day in Lebanon, commending his martyrdom operation against the Zionist regime that killed tens of Zionist troops.
During that operation on 11 November 1982, an explosion demolished an eight-story building used by the Israeli occupation forces in Tyre in south Lebanon.
More than 140 Zionist soldiers died in the operation.
