Winners of “Golden Voice” Quran Competition in Egypt Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Top participants in a national Quran memorization and Tajweed principles competition titled “Golden Voice” were announced by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

According to Al-Ahram website, the national Quranic event was organized by the central office of the ministry in the holy month of Ramadan.

162 male and female Quran activists from different provinces of Egypt participated in the competition, held in Alexandria.

Memorization of a quarter of the Quran from Surah Yaseen to Naas, for participants aged 10 to 12 years old, memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of Quran from Surah Al-Kahf to Naas, for those aged 12 to 14, and memorization of the entire Quran, for the 14 to 16 year-old participants were the categories of the competition.

It was supervised by a group of Quran experts from Al-Azhar and Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf (endowments).
