According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, "Quran, the Secret of Our Victory” is the motto of the competition.

It has been organized by the Quran Teaching Section of the Astan's Women Religious Dissemination Center.

The Seyyed Al-Awsiya Hall of the holy shrine is hosting the competition attended by 70 Quran memorizers and reciters from different provinces of Iraq.

Sheikh Ali Al-Matiri, the director of the section, said at the opening ceremony of the Quranic event that the title of the competition, "Al-Na’eem”, has been taken from verse 22 of Surah Al-Mutaffifin which says "Inna-l-Abrar lafi Na’eem” (Indeed the righteous will be in pleasure).

He told the participants that the main objective of the competition should be seeking the satisfaction of God.

Intisar Fadhil, a member of the Quran Teaching Section, said that the organizers aim to identify Quranic talents and promote the skills of the Quran activists to get them ready for international Quran competitions.
