According to Anadolu Agency, the university’s Center for Islam and Global Affairs will host the conference.
It will be sponsored by Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Georgian University, Washington DC and College of Islamic Sciences, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Doha.
The conference will focus on some of the most significant fault lines and perils facing Muslim societies today, particularly, by focusing on the challenges of sectarianism, secularism, nationalism, colonialism, and the role of religion in society.
More than 20 scholars and academic figures from different countries will take part in the program.
The first edition of the conference aimed to re-examine the meaning of the Muslim Ummah in the modern world.
