TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar al-Ifta of Egypt said it plans to launch an institute for studies about Muslim minorities in 2020.

According to Islamicnews.org website, Ibrahim Najm, an official with the Dar al-Ifta, said the institute will bring together scholars and experts in different fields to conduct research about Muslim minorities.

He also referred to the Dar al-Ifta’s other plans for this year, saying programs for enhancing the knowledge of Muftis will develop.

The focus of these programs will be on promoting true religiosity, fighting extremism and working against harmful social phenomena like divorce, he added.
