Online Quran Competition for Ramadan Planned in Qatar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second edition of a Ramadan Quran competition titled “Rattel wa Arsel” (recite and send) will be held in Qatar starting from April 26.

 

The organizing committee of Sheikh Jasim bin Mohammad bin Thani at the country’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will hold the contest, Al-Arab newspaper reported.

According to the committee, the online competition is one of the categories of Sheikh Jasim Quran contest which will be held for three age groups of 6 to 12, above 12 and 13 to 25 years old.

The second group will compete on ‘Quranic Qiraat (recitations)’ and ‘the most beautiful voice’ is the title of the category for the competition of the third group.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar in which Muslim all around the world fast from dawn to sunset.

They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
