TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Activities Organization (IAQAO) and Al-Mustafa International University signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop cooperation between the two sides.

The signing ceremony was held Tuesday and attended by acting head of IAQAO Mohammad Hussein Hassani, Cultural and Educational deputy of Al-Mustafa International University Hojat-ol-Islam Jafar Karimi, and cultural deputy of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR) Issa Alizadeh.

Addressing the event, Hassani hailed the trend of cooperation between the two sides and thanked Al-Mustafa International University for contribution to the launch of a number of language sections at the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), which is affiliated to the IAQAO.

He noted that IQNA is currently publishing news data-x-items in 19 languages and plans to add two more languages to its platform.

According to the official, the news agency also has two offices in Moscow, Russia, and New Delhi, India.

In each language section at IQNA, at least 70 percent of the content, including news data-x-items and reports, are going to be related to local activities of the regions where the language is spoken, Hassani, said, adding that given Al-Mustafa University’s presence in different countries, it can greatly help IQNA in this regard.
