Eight Quran Experts Supervising Int’l Quran Competition in Afghanistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Members of the 8-strong panel of judges for the first edition of an online international Quran competition in Afghanistan were announced.

 

Abdul Fattah Taruti and Abdul Nasir Harrik from Egypt, Meytham Tammar from Iraq, Karim Dolati from Iran, Sheikh Ibrahim Kasi from Pakistan, Muhammad Al-Mahdi Al Mansour from Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Kabir Heidari from Afghanistan and Sheikh Adil from Lebanon are the arbiters of the competition.

The Sheikh Abdul Kabir Quranic Assembly in Afghanistan has organized the competition for the first time.

Participants from 25 countries are competing in the Quranic event.

The competition, named Siraj al-Kabir, is being held online in the category of Quran recitation.

The contenders, introduced by their respective countries’ major Quranic centers, send the recorded video file of their recitation to the organizers.

The deadline for submitting the files is Monday, December 28, and winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on Friday, January 1.

Winners will be awarded cash prizes and certificates.
