In a video message, Haniyeh also thanked the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam political party in the South Asian country for organizing the million-strong demonstration earlier this week.
He said he is proud of the Pakistanis’ support for the cause of Palestine and their strong opposition to normalization of ties with the Zionist regime.
Haniyeh said it showed Pakistani nation’s close bond with Jerusalem al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also hailed the Islamabad government for resisting pressures (aimed at forcing Pakistan to normalize ties with Israel).
Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the rally held in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi on Thursday.
They reiterated their support for Palestine and opposition to normalization of ties with the Zionist regime of Israel.
