Blast in Afghanistan’s Kandahar Province Kills 3 Civilians

TEHRAN (IQNA) – At least three civilians died in a blast that rocked Panjwayee district of Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Saturday, media reports said.

The blast took place in the Salihan Chaman area of the district inside a rickshaw (Zaranj motorbike) at 10:00am.

Police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok news network that three people, including a child, were killed in the morning blast.

He claimed the landmine had been planted by Taliban.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
