Dar-us-Salaam publishers MD, Abdul Malik Mujahid, told the media that the Punjabi translation of the Quran had been the pressing demand for quite some time by a large number of people in the sub-continent and across Europe and America, the News reported.
The Holy Quran has been translated in many languages across the world.
In 2012, Tauqir Amaan Khan became the first Pakistani to translate the Holy Quran into Punjabi language.
In respect of number of speakers, Punjabi is considered to be among the first ten languages of the world. More than 40 million people across the globe understand Punjabi.
In Pakistan, 12 million people understand and speak Punjabi, and in India more than 30 million people understand the language.
