TEHRAN (IQNA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement condemned Friday’s deadly blasts at a Shia mosque in Afghanistan’s Kandahar.

Hezbollah: US Seeking Revenge for Defeat in Afghanistan

“Once again the Wahabbi terrorist group of Daesh committed another brutal crime,” Hezbollah said in a statement on Friday, al-Mayadeen reported.

It said immediate and extensive measures are necessary to prevent such organized crimes by the Takfiri terrorist group.

Hezbollah called on Afghanistan’s authorities to shoulder the responsibility to bring the perpetrators of the deadly attacks to justice.

They should also take measures to prevent recurrence of such attacks, the Lebanese group added.

The statement also said that after its defeat and failure in Afghanistan, the United States has been trying to take revenge by leaving murders and causing bloodshed and destruction in country.

More than 60 people were killed in three back-to-back explosions that hit the Bibi Fatima mosque during Friday prayers, one of the biggest blasts in Kandahar city.

Daesh Takfiri terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Eyewitnesses described three terrorists, one of whom blew himself up at the entrance to the mosque with the other two detonating their devices inside the building.

It came just a week after a bomb attack claimed by the terrorist group killed more than 150 people and left score of others injured at a Shia mosque in the northeastern city of Kunduz.
