Hazrat Zeynab Birth Anniversary Celebrated in Damascus
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Ceremonies were held at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) in Damascus, Syria, marking the noble lady’s birth anniversary.
The celebrations started on Thursday evening and more ceremonies were organized at the holy shrine on Friday, according to Al-Alam news network.
Colorful flags and banners have been raised at the mausoleum on the auspicious occasion since a few days ago.
Pilgrims from different parts of Syria and other countries attended the celebrations.
Syrian security forces were deployed to ensure the security of pilgrims and medical units were also available to provide the pilgrims with emergency health and medical services.
Hazrat Zeynab (SA) was born in the holy city of Medina on the 5th day of Jamadi-ul-Awwal in the 5th year of Hijrah (627 AD).
