According to Safa al-Silavi, an official with the Astan, the courses have started this week at the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) as well as branches of the Dar-ol-Quran Center in other cities.
Students will learn the Quran, fiqh, ethics, and Islamic beliefs during in the sessions.
Lasting for about one month during the summer holidays, the courses are being staged for girls in the morning and for boys in the afternoon.
The official also said that vehicles have been prepared to bring the students to the centers and deliver them home.
The Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) is holding various Quranic programs inside and outside Iraq to promote Quranic concepts and teachings.
