400 Memorizers Attend Quran Contest in Doha

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The examinations within the 27th session of the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition for 2022 in Doha, Qatar, have been attended by around 400 contenders.

The competitors are both citizens and residents (male and female).

They are participating by memorizing one chapter from the last five chapters of the Quran.

Member of the contest’s organizing committee Jassim Abdullah Al Ali said that roughly 18 committees are supervising the examinations for the male contenders in Imam Muhammad bin AbdulWahhab Mosque.

Eleven supervising committees are conducting the examinations for the female contenders in the headquarters of the women’s Quran memorization department in Al Waab area.

He said the examinations of the children’s segment will continue until Thursday, while the examinations for other categories will begin on Tuesday and continue until Sunday.

The committee has allocated financial awards for the winners of the competition.
