Winners of Dubai Int’l Quran Contest for Women Awarded

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The closing ceremony of the 6th edition of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak international Quran award for women was held in Dubai where winners received their awards.

 

The event was held with the participation of contestants as well as Emirati officials and organizers of the contest.

Aminat al Dabus, executive director of the contest, said that 50 individuals from 50 countries took part in this contest which aimed at encouraging young people to preserve the Holy Quran.

Aindati Sisi from Senegal claimed the first rank while Ayeshah Abubakr Hasan from Nigeria and Shima Anfal Tabani from Algeria stood next. 

The contest concluded on Wednesday evening at the Dubai Culture and Science Society.

According to organizers, the contenders were under the age of 25 and memorizers of the entire Quran with mastery over the rules of Tajweed.

The top winner of the contest received a cash prize of 250,000 dirhams while those who come second to tenth were given 200,000 to 35,000 dirhams.

The DIHQA annually organizes the international Quranic event for women from various countries.
