Sheikh Qassem Highlights Hezbollah’s Achievements in Four Decades

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hezbollah deputy secretary general Sheikh Naim Qassem underlined that the Lebanese resistance movement has made great achievements in the country and the region since its establishment.

Speaking to Noor Radio of Lebanon on Monday, Sheikh Qassem referred to the enhancement of Islamic thought and promotion of resistance for defending Palestine as some of the major accomplishments, Al-Ahed News reported.

He said 40 years have passed since the establishment of Hezbollah and all of these years have been full of achievements.

“We in Hezbollah have spent the last forty years in development, progress and enhancement of Islamic thought and resistance and Palestine has always been our symbol,” he said.

Sheikh Qassem also referred to Hezbollah’s popularity in Lebanon and said those who sought the group’s failure in the recent elections failed to reach their objective as Hezbollah’s candidates won two more seats in parliament than the 2018 elections.

He further said Hezbollah is striving to help the election of Lebanon’s president as soon as possible and stressed the need for dialogue in order to resolve problems.
