Islamic Capital Market Conference Opens in Tehran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 15th International Conference on Islamic Capital Market (ICM) began in Tehran on Sunday, with the participation of domestic and foreign experts and managers.

 

The conference, which is organized by the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) and the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance, aims to promote Islamic financial instruments and address their challenges and opportunities.

The conference was inaugurated by Majid Eshghi, the head of SEO, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of the Islamic capital market for the development of the economy and the society.

The conference, which will last for two days, covers various topics related to the Islamic capital market, such as Shariah governance, Islamic financial bonds, social responsibility papers, crypto assets, transparency and disclosure, short-term financing tools, collective financing tools, and legal and regulatory requirements.

According to the organizers, the conference has attracted 42 participants from Russia, Kuwait, Indonesia, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Maldives, Malaysia, Turkey, India, as well as more than 200 Iranian participants. The conference is expected to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, as well as enhancing the knowledge and skills of the participants.
