It will be held on the sidelines of Egypt’s 30th international Holy Quran competition, with the participation of representatives from 64 countries.
The participants will recite the Quran in the Warsh from Nafi narration.
Top Egyptian qaris scheduled to take part in the Khatm Quran event include Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina, Taha Numani, Ahmed Tamim al-Maraghi, Mohamed Fathallah Bibris, Yusuf Qassim Halawah, Fathi Khalif, and Mahmoud Ali Hassan.
This is the third Khatm Quran program in Warsh from Nafi narration organized in Egypt this year.
The Warsh from Nafi narration used to be the common narration in Egypt but after the Ottoman conquest, it was gradually replaced by the Hafs from Asim narration.

The 30th edition of Egypt’s international Holy Quran competition will get underway on Saturday, December 23.
