IQNA – Qaris and memorizers continued delivering their performances on the third day of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition.
On Sunday and in the male category, six qaris and memorizers went on stage at Tehran’s Summit Hall, showcasing their recitation and memorization skills.
Obaidullah Boubkrango from Niger was the first contestant who provided answers to the questions of the panel of arbiters in the entire Quran memorization category.

The competitions in the women’s category as well as those in the 8th edition of the international Quran competition for the Muslim world school students were held in the morning.
The prestigious competition, which began on Thursday, has attracted Quran enthusiasts from around the world.
More than 110 countries registered for Iran's 40th International Quran Competition, but only 69 finalists from 40 countries made it to the final round after a rigorous screening process.
Contestants compete in the main categories of Quran recitation (for men) and Quran memorization and Tateel recitation (for men and women).
The competition will run until Tuesday, February 20, and the winners will be honored at the closing ceremony on Wednesday, February 21.
The annual event, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.
