Student Uprisings Indication of Public Awareness about Israeli Crimes: Iraqi Analyst
Nazar Haidar, head of the Iraq Information Center in Washington, told IQNA that since the Israeli regime began its brutal onslaught on Gaza, there has been a rare trend of protests against the war by Western nations like the US, Canada, Australia and those in Europe.
He said the protests, especially those by university students, have been growing because of the Zionists’ heinous crimes that have continued for over 8 months.
Another point is that the international community, political institutions, world powers and the UN Security Council have failed to stop the Israel aggression and brutal crimes, he added.
That is why we see this wave of rallies and protests, especially in Western countries, he stated.

According to Haidar, the Western propaganda machine is no longer able to cover up the Israeli crimes and the world public opinion is aware of what the Israeli regime has been doing.
He slammed the hypocrisy of the West’s political system and said it had better stop paying lip service to concepts such as human rights, freedom of speech, women’s rights, children’s rights, and the rights of nations to decide their fate.
The Israeli regime initiated a genocidal war on Gaza following a surprise attack by Palestinian resistance groups on October 7, 2023, in retaliation for years of Israeli aggression.
The death toll from the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip is now approaching 35,000.
