IQNA – The final round of a Quran recitation competition featuring imitation of prominent qaris is slated for next week.

It will be held on Monday, May 20, at Martyr Shiroudi Stadium in Tehran.

A total of sixteen teenage and young qaris who have made it to the final will via for the top prize in this round.

A panel of arbiters comprising prominent Quran experts like Gholam Reza Shahmiveh, Masoud Nouri, Seyed Ahmad Moqimi, Amin Pouya, Javad Panahi, and Hamed Valizadeh will assess the performances of the finalists to select winners.

In the competition, the contenders are required to imitate the style of the Muslim world’s prominent qaris.

The closing ceremony where the winners are going to be announced and awarded will be held on the same day.

The first round of the contest had begun on March 5, 2024, at Imamzadeh Saleh in Shemiran district, north of Tehran.
