On the agenda of the meeting was issuing permission for organizing the 7th edition of the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students, according to Hamid Majidimehr, secretary of the headquarters.
He told IQNA that head of the headquarters’ committees and its members were present at the session.
He said after discussions about aspects of the issue, the meeting granted the permission for organizing the event.
It was also decided that the committees help the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization, affiliated to the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), to hold the prestigious Quranic event, he noted.
Majidimehr expressed hope that Iranian political and cultural representatives in other countries would also help the organization in identifying and inviting top Quranic talents to take part in the competition.

The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization has organized the competition since 2006 with the aim of promoting unity and cooperation among Muslim world students and elevating the level of Quranic activities.
The 6th edition took place in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast of Iran, in April 2018.
