IQNA – An Iraqi analyst says one of the wishes of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was the establishment of an international Quran competition for countries of Resistance Axis.

"One of Martyr Nasrallah's wishes was to establish international Quran competitions for the countries of the resistance axis, and it is the main duty of Quranic activists to turn this wish into a real project," Samir al-Assad told IQNA in an interview.

Quranic activists should start their connections with religious organizations in resistance axis countries such as Iran, Iraq, and Syria, with the aim of holding these competitions at an international level, he said, adding that it is important that this competition includes all Islamic sects.

The remarks come as the ex-leader of Hezbollah resistance group was assassinated in a terrorist Israeli air raid on Beirut last Friday.

Nasrallah was a living example of a political and religious figure who based his positions on the Holy Quran, Assad added.

Nasrallah considered the Quran as a source of inspiration in all aspects of his life, whether in dealing with enemies or in his interactions with people, said the analyst, adding that it is evident from his speeches and statements that he frequently referred to verses from the Quran that speak of resistance against oppression and injustice.

Elsewhere, Assad said that the martyrdom of Nasrallah was a significant and impactful event in the political and resistance landscape of the region. "However, Islamic resistance, especially in Lebanon, is built on strong foundations that are not dependent on a single person, even if that person is a prominent figure like Nasrallah."

After his martyrdom, the path of resistance will continue with coordination among various factions, both in Lebanon and Palestine, he said, adding that the unity of factions will be strengthened, and the discourse of resistance will increasingly focus on confronting the Israeli enemy.
