Registration for Iranian Students Nat’l Quran Contest to Close on December 6

IQNA – Registration for the 43rd national Quran competition for school students in Iran continues via the website of the Education Ministry.

According to Mikaeil Baqeri, director general of the ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayers Department, registration will close on December 6.  

He noted that the competition is annually organized in four stages, namely at the school, region, province and nationwide levels.

The first round will get underway right after the conclusion of the registration process, the official stated.

The participants will compete in such categories as Quran recitation, memorization of the Holy Quran, Adhan (call to prayers), prayer recitation, Nahj al-Balagha, Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh, and Quran interpretation, he said.

Some of the contest’s categories will be held virtually, Baqeri went on to say.

The competition is annually organized by the Education Ministry with the goal of promoting Quranic activities and identifying Quranic talents among school students.
