The events spanned over a week, featuring Quranic gatherings, conferences, exhibitions, and scholarly activities.
Seyyed Ibrahim Al-Mousawi, head of the organizing committee for World Quran Day in Iraq, praised the efforts of participating groups from within Iraq and abroad. “Prominent researchers and Quran reciters from 12 Arab and Islamic countries took part in these programs,” Al-Mousawi said.
The 6th International Imam Hussein Conference attracted around 170 scholars from countries including Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iran, Algeria, France, the United Kingdom, and Iraq, he noted.
The conference served as a platform for exchanging ideas on Quranic thought and discussing the role of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in shaping Islamic civilization, added the official.

One of the key highlights was the unveiling of the Encyclopedia of the Quranic Teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, the result of over a decade of continuous research, he said, adding that an initiative was also launched to identify and nurture emerging Quranic talents across various age groups.
“More than 23 Quranic gatherings were held across 16 provinces in Iraq, playing a significant role in spreading the Quranic message and strengthening Quranic culture within diverse communities,” said Al-Mousawi.
Looking ahead, the Dar al-Quran plans to expand its Quranic projects to further disseminate Quranic thought and enhance cultural engagement. “The outcomes of these programs mark an important step in advancing and developing Quranic activities,” he added.
