In an article for IQNA, Ali Maroufi Arani wrote that Israeli regime prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who failed to achieve any of his goals in the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip during the Biden administration, is now trying to exploit the new conditions during the Trump administration to displace the people of Gaza and disarm Hamas.
Trump’s proposal for the forced relocation of the people of Gaza has exhilarated the Israeli prime minister, leading him to reconsider the subsequent stages of prisoner exchanges. Now, Netanyahu and his extreme right-wing ministers are in a state of euphoria, believing that all of Israel’s problems following the Gaza war have been resolved.
“However, the Zionist regime will get nowhere given the unique steadfastness and resistance of the people of Gaza,” he wrote in the article, excerpts from which are as follows:
Gaza is not an easy target for the Zionist regime. Today’s Gaza is different from two decades ago. In the devastating war in Gaza, the Israeli regime, in the worst possible manner, pursued a plan of displacing the residents of the Gaza Strip, with genocide and crimes against humanity, not merely aiming to destroy Hamas.
In reality, war was the worst possible means to implement this idea. However, it failed, and after the ceasefire was announced, the residents of the Gaza Strip preferred to stay in their homes and face this genocide rather than leave their homeland.
The people of Gaza are saddened by the loss of their homes, families, and friends. However, they have learned not to believe the words of their enemy (US President Donald Trump) and never to expect goodwill from them, nor to trust the lies and promises of Trump and the Zionist regime about rebuilding their homes.
Also, the wave of international reactions to the proposal to relocate Gazans poses a significant obstacle for Trump and Netanyahu. Even within the United States, such a plan has faced widespread opposition, as many American politicians, including Democrats and some Republicans, do not support the forced relocation of Gaza's people.
Additionally, the European Union and Arab countries view such an action as a threat to regional stability. The United Nations, in response to the controversial proposal by the US President to take over the Gaza Strip through the forced displacement of its Palestinian residents under the pretext of rebuilding the area, announced that more than $53 billion is needed for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz writes that Donald Trump’s idea, which was lost amid the noise, suggests that his real gift to Israel might be a plan to seize the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in the near future.

Based on the behaviors and policies of Trump and Netanyahu observed up until today, it is clear that they view the displacement of the people of Gaza or exerting pressure on them to leave the area as a tactic to indirectly and temporarily address the Zionist regime’s security issues.
This plan could indeed be part of a larger strategy aimed at reducing the security risks facing Israel and controlling its security situation against the Palestinians.
Another factor prompting the US president and the Israeli prime minister to collaborate on a plan for the forced displacement of the people of Gaza is Netanyahu’s confrontation with internal political crises. During his tenure as prime minister, Netanyahu has faced internal political challenges and accusations of corruption.

However, the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, who have survived the most dangerous phase of implementing this idea through the genocidal war without leaving, and are now returning to the ruins of their homes after the war’s cessation, are unlikely to comply with it after the conflict.
