IQNA – A permanent secretariat will be established for the future editions of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition, an official said.

The 32nd edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla until March 16, 2025.

Speaking to IQNA, Asghar Amirnia, secretary of the exhibition’s planning council, added that with the establishment of the permanent secretariat, immediately after each edition of the event concludes, a more organized and well-planned approach can be taken for the upcoming exhibitions.

“This secretariat aims to identify Quranic centers, institutions, and organizations, and assess their capabilities, capacities, and specialized resources. The goal is to ensure that by the next Ramadan, we will have a higher-quality exhibition compared to this year’s event.”

Describing the exhibition is a garden of spirituality, he said that promotion and safeguarding the Quran are considered a fundamental principle.

“This is because the first article of the Constitution states that the Islamic Republic of Iran is founded on the Quran and Islam. As a result, all executive bodies, institutions, organizations, and individuals must strive to make the Quran a pervasive and active presence in society, so that people can see in practice that what is stated in the Quran is being realized.”

The organization of the Quran exhibition is one of the efforts aimed at promoting the Quran's presence in society, he noted.

“The primary focus of its organizers is to utilize various tools, especially cultural and artistic ones, to elevate the message of the Wahy (revelation) within the community. This year, during the 32nd edition of the exhibition, we were fortunate to witness a significant turnout of Quran-loving individuals, despite some shortcomings.”

Amirinia referred to the Quran exhibition and the Tehran International Book Fair as being among the largest cultural events in the Islamic world.

He added that despite the time and space constraints faced by this edition of the Quran exhibition, the simplicity, modesty, avoidance of waste, and absence of certain luxuries should be considered positive aspects of the event. “In such an atmosphere, one could observe the ethical and religious values of the Quran coming to the forefront.”
