Quranic Calligraphy Expo underway in Kashmir in Ramadan

IQNA – An exhibition of Quranic and Islamic calligraphy works has been mounted in Srinagar, the Indian-Administered Kashmir.

It has been organized by the Tebyan Quranic Institute on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan

The expo was launched on the 23 day of Ramadan (Monday) and will run for three days.

Works by prominent calligraphers have been showcased at the exhibition, attracting visitors interested in Islamic and Quranic arts.

Quranic calligraphy is a form of artistic writing using the Arabic script. It dates back to the seventh century A.D. when calligraphy was written on parchments or papyrus to make copies of the Holy Quran.
