IQNA – Prominent Iranian Qari Ahmad Abolghasemi has urged qaris and memorizers across the globe to launch a campaign in support of the oppressed people in Gaza.

Prominent Qari Urges Global Campaign to Support Gaza

“As Muslims around the world, we currently lack the means to offer direct support to the people of Gaza. But even if we cannot physically go to help these oppressed people, we can at least create an atmosphere of solidarity and empathy across the world. That, in itself, is a form of emotional and moral support,” he said in a video message on Sunday.

The comments came as the Israeli regime has intensified its onslaught in Gaza, targeting people in daily bombing campaigns. In one of the latest crimes the occupation regime bombed Al-Ahli hospital in the north, aggravating the already dire medical situation in the besieged territory.

The attack was widely condemned by various countries and organizations worldwide.

Abolghasemi pointed to the sensitivity of media towards the public opinion, adding, “When people show support for a cause or express condemnation of injustice, the media takes notice. If we use social media to denounce the crimes committed by the occupying Zionist regime and express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza, it will draw greater attention.”

“What has happened to our world, that neither Islamic governments nor Muslim nations are taking meaningful action to defend the people of Palestine?” he lamented.

“A Quran reciter without purpose or a sense of political awareness holds no meaning today,” he said, urging them to use their online platforms to share verse 75 of Surah An-Nisa, where it says: “Why should you not fight in the way of Allah and the oppressed men, women, and children?”

“Share this verse so that your voice reaches the world, and all Muslims unite around this cause,” he added.
