Sheikh L’Aqab taught Tajweed, Tafseer (Quran interpretation) and Qara’at, at the University of Algeria for years.
He got his PhD in Arabic language and Quranic studies in 2019.
Sheikh L’Aqab had permission in Qara’at Ashar (the ten styles of recitation attributed to ten famous qaris).
He took part in many international Quran competitions in Algeria, the UAE and Saudi Arabia as contestants and member of panel of judges.
He was known for his efforts in spreading Quranic sciences and his dedication to methods of reflection on the Quran.
