The ceremony was held at the Eram Hotel with the participation of Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi and a number of the country’s Quranic figures, masters and managers.
After recitation of verses from the Quran by teenage qari Sobhan Abdollahi, veteran Quran activist Abbas Salimi took the podium. He said the future of the country belong to the youth and teenagers and that if they get close to the Quran, they can guarantee a bright future for the country.
He referred to a Hadith about the permanence of education in childhood and said what could be better than the word and the book of God for education?
Noting that the launch of the National School of Quran Recitation Elites is a very beautiful and valuable move, he said this lasting measure was taken with the support of the representative of the Supreme Leader and the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
“I am sure that this model, with the participation and support of compassionate people, can become a model for all Islamic countries,” he went on to say.

Ali Mehrabi, the school’s principal, also elaborated on its activities, saying the National School of Quran Recitation Elites will operate in three areas.
“The first area and focus is the act of recitation, which includes Tarteel, thematic memorization, and imitative and adaptive recitation. The second is recitation literacy and the third is Quranic education. In all these areas, educational and psychological needs will be addressed.”
