Imam Khomeini’s Thoughts Guiding Light of Resistance: Naim Qassem
Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remark in a message issued on the demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will be marked on June 4.
He said Imam Khomeini’s thoughts are powerfully present on the scene and the Islamic Ummah is witnessing the light of the true Muhammadan Islam that Imam Khomeini spread with his revolutionary plan.
He added that the late founder of the Islamic Republic inculcated the divine values in the community, and these values continue to be the beacon of resistance and freedom movements in the region.
The Hezbollah chief stated that Imam Khomeini fought against oppression and occupation.
Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini that turned Iran from a despotic monarchy supported by the US into an independent Islamic Republic that supports the world’s oppressed, “We have lived with the hope for the victory of the truth over falsehood,” he went on to say.
Sheikh Qassem also hailed the Islamic Republic’s support for the Muslim Ummah, especially in the issue of Palestine.
