The OIC will hold the emergency meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of permanent representatives of member states in Jeddah today, July 22, Al-Raiya reported.

The main focus of this meeting will be to review recent developments in Palestine, especially the ongoing aggression by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and attacks on holy sites in the occupied territories, including the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron (Al-Khalil).

The meeting is being held at a time when the Gaza Strip is facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis resulting from the crimes of the Zionist regime, including genocide, systematic starvation, and widespread displacement of the people of Gaza.

At the same time, attacks on places of worship have also intensified.

As a result of the Israeli war and its siege on Gaza, the food crisis has reached a catastrophic stage, with millions of people facing severe shortages of food, drinking water and medicine.

The complete blockade and targeting of vital infrastructure by the Zionist regime have paralyzed the humanitarian aid distribution system and greatly increased the risk of widespread famine among the civilian population, especially children.
