Speaking to IQNA, the director of the Dar al-Quran of the Basij Organization also stated that 19,000 Quranic units have been activated in mosques to date.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hamidreza Limoui noted that about a thousand mosques have been officially introduced as Quranic bases.
He referred to the implementation of the Fajr One national plan in the field of Quran memorization, and said it is a national and strategic project being carried out by the Dar-ol-Quran of the Basij.
The plan has been designed with the aim of contributing to the achievement of the goal to train 10 million memorizers of the Holy Quran in the country, he said.
“The basis of this plan is to transform mosques into Quranic bases.”
Regarding the status of training instructors in the field of Quran in the Basij organization, he said the main focus of the Basij Dar-ol-Quran Center’s activity is training instructors in Quran memorization, whether in person or virtually.

“This year, we have been focusing on this issue and there are many instructors currently being trained. Also, the popular Quran memorization base was recently established and its responsibility for the popular sector has been entrusted to the Basij Dar-ol-Quran Center.”
He hopeed that with the efforts of the people, officials, media, and all those interested in the Quran, “we can smooth the path of training Quran memorizers in mosques. Our ultimate goal is to make the name of the Quran and its memorization resonate in all mosques of the country. For this goal, we need public participation.”
