According to Ahad, Syrian calligrapher Muhammad Maher
Hazari spent twelve years embroidering Quranic verses on fabric, creating a work of art and earning him the honor of Quranic calligraphy.
He began embroidering the Quran in 1998 and completed it in 2010, after 12 years of effort.
He embroidered the entire Quran on a piece of cloth and divided it into sections measuring 80 centimeters long and 60 centimeters wide.
This embroidered Quran has 12 volumes and weighs about 200 kilograms.
“I had a dream of exhibiting my work in Saudi Arabia, and this year this opportunity was provided, and I was able to participate in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025,” he said.
Referring to the details of his activity in the art of Arabic calligraphy, the Syrian calligrapher said, “First, I copied the Quran and through this I learned the art of Arabic calligraphy, then I embroidered the verses of the Quran on fabric.”
He added, “I have participated in many exhibitions with this Quran, and I have received the admiration of visitors.”
