According to the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, applications for the preliminary round will be accepted from October 20 to 31, 2025. Registration must be completed exclusively through the official platform at moussabaka.marw.dz.
The ministry announced that participants can register for three categories: the international competition for Quran memorization and recitation, the national competition for memorization, recitation, and interpretation, and a special category for young memorizers under 15 years old.
Age limits range from 15 to 25 years for the international contest and under 25 years for the national round.
Those who have previously won one of the top three national prizes or have been recognized as national or international reciters are not eligible to participate this year.
The Ministry said the event aims “to encourage the memorization of the Holy Quran and to highlight exceptional Quranic talent from different provinces of Algeria,” while preparing winners to represent the country in future international competitions.
