The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched the first aid volunteering framework for national associations, in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.

The initiative aims to promote volunteerism and enhance emergency response efficiency within the Two Holy Mosques.

The framework organizes first aid volunteer work within an integrated system, ensuring unified procedures and coordinated efforts among organizations. It seeks the highest standards of quality and safety in serving pilgrims.

The authority clarified that participating organizations must meet general requirements, including official accreditation and registration with relevant authorities, the SPA reported.

Emergency volunteer associations will be responsible for providing medical personnel, equipment, and emergency supplies in coordination with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to ensure field teams are fully prepared and able to respond effectively.

Volunteer teams must include licensed healthcare practitioners or certified specialists, such as personnel trained in basic life support, and must fully comply with instructions from both entities.
