IQNA – In a latest Islamophobic incident in India, a mosque in the southern state of Telangana was vandalized and copies of Quran were desecrated.

Worshippers at the Jama Masjid in Jalalpur village, Bommalaramaram Mandal, Yadadiri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana, were shocked on Monday, February 16, 2026, to find their mosque vandalized and copies of the Quran desecrated.

Reports stated that several individuals entered the place of worship, damaging walls, window panes, and washroom doors, while multiple copies of the Quran were scattered across the premises.

Condemning the incident, Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan demanded that police file a criminal case and conduct a thorough investigation at the earliest, Siasat reported.
