Libya’s Grand Mufti Reiterates Support for Iran amid US-Israeli Aggression
Sheikh Sadiq Al-Ghariani explained in his statement, which was widely published in the media and social networks, that there is no such thing as neutrality in the Quran.
“As long as the war is between Muslims and infidels, supporting Muslims is obligatory,” he underlined, Al-Mayadeen reported.
“Anyone who calls his position ‘neutral’ in the war between Muslims and infidels is among those about whom the Quran says: ‘They are neither with this nor with them].’”
Sheikh Al-Ghariani added, “Among the lessons and insights we see from the current war is that the arrogant must pay the price, regardless of how powerful they are. Today, the US president is asking all countries in the world to open the Strait of Hormuz, and he is disappointed (as no one is heeding his call).”
Addressing Muslims, the Libyan Mufti said, “Let them learn a lesson from what happened at the American bases in the Persian Gulf, because their presence caused the countries that thought they were supporting them to be targeted, and whoever wants honor, honor belongs to God, His Messenger, and the believers.”
Sheikh al-Ghariani had previously emphasized that the current war against Iran is essentially aimed at spreading infidelity and atheism in the region.

He also stated that Tehran’s military operations are in line with the legitimate right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend itself against Zionist aggression.
Noting that Iran is today at the forefront of confronting a dangerous Zionist plan, al-Ghariani said the aim of this plan is to expand Zionist influence and impose hostile programs against Islam and Muslims.
