Carlson noted that Trump’s insulting social media post was not only a diplomatic mistake, but also an insult of a religious nature.

In a sharp escalation of the differences that reflects the growing rift on the American right, journalist Tucker Carlson used his program to condemn Trump's latest attack on Iran via social media, describing the US president's recent speech as evil and a desecration of Easter.

The controversy began on Easter morning, April 5, 2026, when Trump posted a message on TruthSocial containing threats and harsh language.

In the post, Trump threatened to target Iranian infrastructure and declared Tuesday would be “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day” unless Tehran immediately reopened the Strait of Hormuz.

The US president ended his post with the phrase “Praise be to Allah,” a move that sparked widespread confusion and anger across the political spectrum.
