Akbar Rezaei, the Hajj and Umrah director of the organization, said Planning, registration, and signing of executive contracts for Hajj 2026 were underway according to the established schedule when the outbreak of the war imposed by the US and the Israeli regime and the Saudi Hajj Ministry’s deadline to determine the status of Iranian pilgrims by the 19th of the holy month of Ramadan changed the entire normal process.

Accordingly, he said, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has redefined all registration and expedition plans based on the prevailing conditions and is designing and planning different scenarios.

Regarding registrants and the finalization of future Hajj expeditions, he said that given the current conditions in the region, some processes are beyond our control, so all different scenarios of expeditions have been reviewed and one of the plans is being finalized in accordance with the conditions and capacities.

Rezaei added that given the inquiries and calls from some registrants requesting cancellation of the trip, these applicants can proceed with the cancellation process by referring to the caravan manager and completing the relevant form, and the deposit will be refunded to them.
