Kazan Int’l Quran Contest Preparatory Meeting Held

IQNA – A meeting was held to review the preparations for the Kazan International Quran Competition in Russia.

It was attended by the Deputy Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, the Muslimsaroundtheworld website reported.

The final preparations for the competition are underway in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in southern Russia.

The recitation competition focuses on assessing the skills of participants, including mastery of the rules of Tajweed, ability to control the voice, accuracy in recitation, and the ability to evoke Quranic meanings during performance.

The evaluation of these aspects is a complex process that requires deep scientific expertise, given the simultaneous interaction of artistic and religious elements.

The jury consists of a select group of experts in Quranic sciences, along with experts in the art of recitation, who have extensive international experience in Quranic competitions.
