Sheikh Naim Qassem called on the Lebanese government to refrain from accumulating mistakes and counting on mirages, referring to the Beirut government’s talks with the Zionist regime, Al-Ahed News reported.
He made the remarks in a statement Monday on the occasion of the 40th day after the martyrdom of Commander Youssef Hashem and his companions, which was read by Hassan Fadlallah, a representative of Hezbollah in the Lebanese Parliament.
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the ruling team missed the opportunity to establish a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon, and the process it has taken will cause more bloodshed.
“Our priority today is confronting aggression, not addressing side issues. We call on the Lebanese government not to accumulate mistakes and not to bet on mirages.”

He added that the solution available today is resistance and stability in the field with the arms of the mujahideen (resistance fighters) and the patience of the Lebanese nation, which will never break.
“We repeat and say that we will not return to the stage before March 2, 2026 (the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli regime, which was concluded in November 2024).”
