In statements on Monday, Sheikh Naim Qassem said that Hezbollah will not give up its arms, and that people will return to their lands.
He rejected the Lebanese government’s planned direct talks with the Israeli regime, calling them a “grave sin” that will destabilize Lebanon.
“We categorically reject direct negotiations with Israel, and those in power should know that their actions will not benefit Lebanon or themselves.”
The Hezbollah chief called on Lebanon’s authorities to “back down from their grave sin that is putting Lebanon in a spiral of instability.”
“These direct negotiations and their outcomes are as if they do not exist for us, and they do not concern us in the slightest,” he said, adding, “We will continue our defensive resistance for Lebanon and its people.
Sheikh Qassem went on to say, “Do not question our capabilities; they are not measured by months or years, but are built on faith, will, and ability. Record this for history. The Israeli enemy will not remain on an inch of our occupied land, and our people will return to their lands, to the last inch of our borders. As we resisted together, we will rebuild together.”
The solution lies in stopping the aggression, Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied territories, the release of prisoners, the return of displaced residents, and reconstruction, he stated.
The approach to a solution begins with the understanding that the problem is aggression and that the resistance is a response to aggression, not its cause, Sheikh Qassem said.
He further hailed Iran’s role in the ceasefire, saying if it were not for the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Pakistan negotiations, the ceasefire would not have been possible after the legendary steadfastness of the resistance and its people.

“We will not return to the situation before March 2. We will respond to and confront Israeli aggression. No matter how much the enemy threatens, we will not retreat, we will not bow down and we will not be defeated.
“We will stand with all honorable people. With the Amal movement, national political groups, and figures from all regions and groups. We welcome all those who help Lebanon and support its liberation and reconstruction, but we do not welcome anyone who serves the desires of the enemy and weakens the power of Lebanon.”
