Pezeshkian Praises Ayatollah Sistani’s Wise Positions, Solidarity with Iran

IQNA – In a message of appreciation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Iraq’s preeminent religious authority, for his unwavering support toward Iran.

In a message posted in Arabic on his X account on Monday, Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for the wise positions and unwavering support of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani toward Iran and those affected by the recent aggression.

The president thanked Ayatollah Sistani for his prudent stance and steadfast support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and for the victims of the recent aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Pezeshkian also praised the sympathy, solidarity, and support shown by the brotherly people of Iraq toward the people of Iran, according to the website of the president’s office.

He emphasized that the religious authority has always been a strong spiritual refuge and a valuable supporter of the oppressed.
