The senior cleric made the remark in a message released on Saturday on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which is as follows:
O believing men and women, the blessed Eid al-Fitr, the Eid of mercy and forgiveness, has dawned upon us after a blessed month of fasting, staying up all night, and worship. This day is the day of divine rewards; the day on which God boasts of you before His angels. So, congratulations on the acceptance of your deeds, and I ask God to return this Eid to us and to you and to the entire Islamic nation with goodness, blessings, and favor.
Dear ones, although Eid is full of meanings of joy and happiness, the hearts of believers today are torn apart by sorrow when they see what calamities and tragedies befall our brothers in religion and humanity. While we joyfully extol the blessings of God, the cries of children are loud, the tears of grieving mothers flow, and the flames of fire are roaring above the safe houses in Iran and Lebanon, while the military aggression against these two [countries] continues.
We condemn this cruel war in the strongest terms and call on all Muslims and free people of the world to condemn it and show solidarity with the oppressed peoples of Iran and Lebanon. We also call on all influential international parties and countries of the world, especially Islamic countries, to exert their utmost efforts to stop this war.

O God, we turn to You in supplication, and You are the Hearer of prayer.
O God, protect the believing men and women wherever they are, remove the calamity from them, and unite their word in truth.
O Allah, we entrust to You the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of their land, and place them in the highest ranks with the prophets and the righteous.
O Allah, grant patience and peace to their families, heal their wounded, and free their captives.
O Allah, be the supporter of our people wherever they are and make them victorious over the oppressors.
O believers, faith is not only confession and belief, but also righteous deeds, sympathy, and helping. In these difficult circumstances, when suffering has increased and the needs of the injured and displaced have increased, our religious and human duty requires us to extend a helping hand to our afflicted brothers.
The highest religious authority has allowed the use of religious rights to alleviate the suffering of the injured in Iran and Lebanon; This should be done through trusted channels, such as the offices of the highest authority, and if someone personally knows the need, they can take action directly.
Dear ones, Eid is an opportunity to renew the covenant with God, to forgive and reconcile among themselves, and to maintain ties of kinship and care for the poor and needy.
And although our hearts are saddened by what is happening around us, God's mercy is vast, His opening is near, and His help will certainly come, if you are patient and righteous.
