‘Interpretation of Quran in Orientalist Studies’ Published in Karbala
This book studies and analyzes the interventions of Orientalists in the reading and interpretation of the text of the Quran, according to Al-Kafeel.
This work is one of the new publications of the Astan, written in Arabic by Sheikh Hussein al-Zain.
Sayid Hashim al-Milani, head of the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Astan, said this book examines and explains many of the sources in which orientalists have intervened to interpret the text of the Quran, and has analyzed them in an evaluative and critical study.
The publication of this book is in line with the efforts of the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies to publish research and studies that play an important role in strengthening intellectual and Quranic knowledge and supporting the scientific and academic movement.
Previously, the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies had published the book “Translation of Quran among Orientalists”.
A group of expert researchers from the Arab and Islamic world participated in compiling this work.

It includes a collection of critical approaches to the most important European translations of the Holy Quran, which were written with the aim of highlighting the weaknesses of content, technique, and style, and providing recommendations for eliminating errors.
This book also recommends translating the Quran in accordance with the criteria and conditions that preserve the sanctity of the word of revelation, the characteristics of revelation, miracle, and missionary nature of the Quran.
